Well it came and it went… Thank you so much Sheila Norgate for being our very special guest! Your educational presentation was sure to put the chin strap back where it belongs! We had such a blast! We had another special guest with us this time around, my mum – all the way from Montreal! She’d heard of the Mixer for the last few years and begged me to plan it around her visit to the island – thanks for making her feel welcome! I love the summer mixers… the group is usually smaller and more intimate, the light basking in late into the evening.

Thanks for coming and taking part in our evening! $200 was raised for Bridges this time around!
We’ll see you in the fall!

Official launch! Hurry up and get your tickets ladies!

It’s June 1st already, and time to launch the next Girl’s Night Mixer event! Nicole and I have made a special request to all the people in charge to have some glorious weather for our event. We look forward to seeing you all at this Madmen inspired evening! Look below for all the details. As always when we launch these events, we are a very giddy bunch!!!

Below this post is the official invite.

We are back to our Girl’s only format. Having received all the great feedback from the last event (our first co-ed event), we have decided to hold one co-ed event a year, and the rest is for us ladies only. As per usual though, the men can join in on our shenanigans as of 10pm.

The details:

WHEN: Friday July 29th, 7pm to midnight
WHERE: Union Pacific Coffee Company, 537 Herald Street

PRICE: $40 a ticket – Important reminder: this is a private function and tickets will not be available at the door – advance sales ONLY. Limited spaces available – tickets have historically sold very fast!

PROCEEDS from ticket sales will go to Bridges for Women Society – we were able to donate $300 dollars from the last mixer!

As per usual, Union Pacific’s Jim Walmsley and his wonderful staff will keep our palates occupied with some appies and bevvies. We have invited the truly fantastic Sheila Norgate to join us for a very special Girl’s Night Mixer performance – this woman is NOT to be missed! In lieu of our entertainment for the evening, we invite you to mark your calendars and arrive promptly at the venue between 7 and 7:30pm. Entertainment will start at 8pm and should last no more than 45 minutes. After that the floor is yours to mingle and make new connections! Sheila will offer some great conversation starters.

We are looking for 5 door prizes – let me know if you have something you’d like to donate! We will make sure to showcase your business or talent!

Summer 2010 mixer

July 15, 2010

On June 25th, we gathered at the Union Pacific for another extraordinary evening of mingling, laughing and networking! We love the Union Pacific. Such a great little venue!

We had Tristan join us this time around to capture the evening as Jenna was off shooting a wedding! Tristan was the only boy in a room with over 60 women! The summer being a very busy season for both Jenna and Tristan as they travel locally and internationally photographing weddings, the photos took a little longer than usual to come my way! After much anticipation – here they are! Thank you Tristan!!!

Leona Fowler: Great work Tristan. I had a blast. Thanks Vero!

Carolyne Taylor: Brings back great memories - can't wait for the next one!!! Veronique you are a gift to Victoria!
